Stem Cell Therapy

Naturally Promote Healing
Stem cell therapy utilizes the body’s natural repair mechanisms to promote healing.
Thanks to advances in medical technology, we are able to provide alternatives to surgery with our stem cells injections. The options for joint pain have been limited to pain medications, steroid injections, joint replacement surgeries and physical therapy; today you can explore the more natural option to heal your body.
Stem cell therapy at our clinic uses adult autologous adipose derived stem cells that are injected directly into the problem area. The cocktail of cells injected into your problem area is attracted by injury and inflammation bringing your stem cells to where it needs to be, creating a healing environment.
There is normally minimal down time necessary after stem cell treatment—patients sometimes feel soreness in the area that was treated, and slight bruising may occur.
Following treatment, most patients experience complete relief from their pain. In the case of tendon and ligament injuries, the results are generally permanent. In the case of joint arthritis, the number of treatments depends on the severity of the joint pain. Mild arthritis may not need another round of treatment, but more advanced arthritis typically requires a repeat course of treatment, usually within one to three years.

How Do Adult Stem Cells Work?
Adult stem cells (sc) are self renewing cells that have the ability to differentiate into more specialized types of tissues or organs. These cells can be found throughout our bodies in the various tissues, however, they are most abundant in adipose tissue, better known as “fat”. The stem cells which actually built your body, have the ability to repair, regenerate and rebuild many tissues in the body.
Stem cells are like amazing workers that can help to regrow your tendons, ligaments, cartilage, arteries, veins, muscle and even bone.

How Does The Process Work?
At hero medical center our therapies are done on an outpatient basis. A mini liposuction procedure is performed removing approximately 150-300 cc of fat from you to be processed. This fat is processed for stem cells using our unique and precise methods, and combined with your platelet rich plasma (prp) which is taken from a small amount of your blood.

Collect Fat Cells.

Separate The Stem Cells.

Introduce Stem Cells Into The Body.
The combination of sc and prp combined together create a potent cocktail that can rebuild and repair almost any joint in your body. Your stem cells combined with your prp are then injected into your body via the problem area whether it be a joint, or the surrounding tissue.
Who Is A Good Stem Cell Candidate?
Stem cell therapy is a viable alternative for those who are considering surgery or joint replacement.
Most candidates for stem cell therapy include people with an active lifestyle that have experienced injuries throughout their lifetime, that have cartilage wear and tear and experience chronic pain.
Other candidates may be individuals who experience minor pains and people who want to be proactive in addressing issues they foresee advancing in the future.
No matter which type of candidate you may be, we abide by consistent screening protocols to determine whether our therapies can provide you with beneficial results.

If I Am Determined To Be A Strong Candidate For Stem Cell Therapy, What Is The Next Step?
Once you opt to receive stem cell therapy, we use your very own stem cells. Since stem cells come directly from you, there is little to no risks involved in the procedure. In most cases, patients respond favorably to stem cell therapy on the initial treatment.
On average, most patients start to see signs of improvement within six to eight weeks after the procedure. Patients will typically experience less pain within days due to the reduction of inflammation. In some rare cases, a patient might need additional booster treatments of prp to get improved results.
