Understanding Joint Pain

Joints are what forms the connections between bones. They provide support to your skeletal system and help you keep moving. Any damage -- minor or major --  to the joints from injury can drastically interfere with your movement and cause extreme long-term pain.

Several conditions can lead to joint pain, including osteoarthritis, strains, sprains, and other injuries. Joint pain is so common, about one-third of adults report having joint pain regularly, however the degree of pain varies.

Knee pain the most common complaint, with shoulder pain and hip pain coming in close second, but joint pain can affect any part of your body, including ankles, feet or even hands. As you age, joint pain increases.

Unfortunately, Joint pain can range from mild to debilitating and short term to a more serious chronic condition.

Treating Joint Pain

Whatever the cause of painful joints or joint injury, you can usually manage it with medication, physical therapy, or alternative treatments.

The first step, is letting your doctor try to diagnose and treat the condition that is causing your joint pain. The goal is to reduce pain, reduce inflammation and preserve joint function.

If medication or physical therapy does not leave you with a satisfactory result it may be time to consider an alternative option.  Stem cell therapy has some strong, proven results and may be right for you.
